Tabaxi

Of Kyderria

Tabaxi do not exist anywhere within Kyderria. However, there is a race that makes its home in one of the cities that bears striking resemblance in terms of appearance and ability.

Of Kivekia

Once a proud and populous race, the Tabaxi have all but scattered to extinction. A race of hunters and warriors, who lived peacefully with those around them. Being built to fight gives them a natural keenness over other races.

Feline in appearance, they stand upright taller than a man. Limbs that end in paws make it almost impossible to wield weapons. Having natural, extendible claws, growing constantly throughout their lives. They have been known to reach nearly a foot in length, in the older tribal hunters.

Fur covers the majority of their bodies, in various colours and patterns. The colour spanning back to the original nine tribes. Although variations are not unheard of.

Agility and swiftness lends itself to these warriors. The martial arts are often a speciality of those who tread the path of the hunter. Not equipped mentally, as well as physically they make poor mages. Unable to utter the correct words, without rolling their tongues in a feline purr, does disadvantage and characterise the Tabaxi.

Residing in the town of Shandrah the nine tribes have united as one. All protected within one set of walls they work to rebuild their shattered lifestyle. Looked over by their Protector Denton, he acts as god and guardian angel. Born a Tabaxi himself, raised to watch out for his race.

Shandrah was built by his followers, and is the home to all that is left of their race. They have a natural enemy, spawned from the disillusioned son of Denton himself. The Thrikreen hunt and kill all Tabaxi they find. Not to be trusted they turn even upon their own. Which is where the teaching and strength of Denton comes into focus. Tabaxi work, fight and live as one. Working together they can overcome individual foes.

Accepting all other races, the Tabaxi only have an animosity with the thrikreen nearly extinguished Tabaxi from Kivekia. They must fight them always to defend their way of life.
